Football Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland before the international hiatus, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Life

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of several Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football team," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our side for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their attack is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be fairly close, however. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they do look strong again.

West Ham's only away victory this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest coach.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.

A family member advised me to select Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had great success on the road this term, and Brighton are consistently decent at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

Fulham have got lots of quality in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their display in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month.

But I am not do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the sole side they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know Sunderland are doing well and also that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
